Softball Recap: Wayne County War Eagles vs. Seminary Bulldogs
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Wayne County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Seminary Bulldogs 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-10 back in February.
The team relied heavily on Jaslyn Gandy, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February of 2025. Gracie Swindle was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wayne County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.
