Volleyball Recap: Pewaukee Takes a Loss

Pewaukee entered their contest against West Allis Central on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21.

David Strebe paced Pewaukee's offense, picking up seven kills. Strebe got some help from Ethan Dalangin and his 11 assists. Strebe was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

West Allis Central can attribute much of their success to Alex McMillin, who had 23 assists and three digs. McMillin is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 14 games he's played.

Pewaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 13-20. As for West Allis Central, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-15.

Pewaukee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Waukesha North on the 18th. As for West Allis Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against New Berlin Eisenhower/New Berlin West on the 18th.
