Baseball Game Preview: Green Mountain Rams vs. Conifer Lobos

The Green Mountain Rams will head out on the road to take on the Conifer Lobos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Green Mountain fell victim to D'Evelyn and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Jaguars. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Conifer can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Wheat Ridge. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Luke Tamburlin looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Conifer let Mckade Tracy and Romey Haydon run wild. Tracy went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Haydon got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Haydon is becoming a predictor of Conifer's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6-1 when he doesn't). Nick Giefer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Conifer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Conifer now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Green Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Green Mountain couldn't quite finish off Conifer in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 and fell 9-7. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
