Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Oak Grove's strategy against Wellington-Napoleon on Tuesday. Everything went the Oak Grove Panthers' way against the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers as the Oak Grove Panthers made off with a 59-39 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Tigers are ranked 451st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Wellington-Napoleon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ayden Ellensohn posted 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ellensohn has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cali Russell, who earned ten points.
