Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hawley

Hawley had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Hawley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 25-18.

Katarina Vetter paced Hawley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Vetter got some help from Sella Fleming and her 34 assists. Finally, Annaka Johnson kept Hawley's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Hawley's record is now 29-2. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.

Hawley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against New London-Spicer on the 6th. Wadena-Deer Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
