Football Recap: Chesaning Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chesaning extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They took a blow against the Ovid-Elsie Marauders, falling 58-16. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-10.

Chesaning's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Vogelaar, who rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 124 yards and one TD. Law Danek also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.

As for Ovid-Elsie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Chase Fabus had a dynamite game, rushing for 80 yards and one score on only seven carries, while also catching one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.
