Baseball Game Preview: Penney Hornets vs. Mid-Buchanan Dragons

The Penney Hornets will take on the Mid-Buchanan Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Penney will be strutting in after a win while Mid-Buchanan will be coming in after a defeat.

While Penney's victory against Marceline wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets skirted past the Tigers 8-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Mid-Buchanan has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.86 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 10-2 to Park Hill South. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Penney's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Mid-Buchanan, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
