The Lincoln Prep Lightning are taking a road trip to take on the Bisbee Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lincoln Prep sitting on five straight victories and Bisbee on ten.
Last Monday, it was close, but Lincoln Prep sidestepped Pima for a 5-4 win. That's two games straight that the Lightning have won by just one run.
Finn Dilley made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Dilley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Platt, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).
Meanwhile, while Bisbee put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for San Miguel. The Pumas blew past the Vipers 22-0. The result was nothing new for the Pumas, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Sebastian Lopez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Horacio Olivarria was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Bisbee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .632. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 16 consecutive matches.
Bisbee pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln Prep, their record is now 8-6-1.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. However, it's not like Bisbee struggles in that department as they've averaged .510. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
