Recap: North Harrison Cougars vs. Orleans Bulldogs
The North Harrison Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Orleans 64-36. While losing is never fun, North Harrison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Orleans is ranked 69th).
Orleans was led to victory by Xavier Alston and Rylan Crocker. Alston scored 16 points along with seven steals, while Crocker scored 20 points along with three steals. Ian Hall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
North Harrison dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Orleans, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
North Harrison will be playing at home against Crawford County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crawford County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something North Harrison surely won't give up without a fight. Orleans' road trip will continue as they head out to face Paoli at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Orleans focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
