United is a perfect 10-0 against Del Rio since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (United has three straight victories, Del Rio has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, United got the win against United South by a conclusive 28-3. Those 28 points were actually the fewest the Longhorns have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

United got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jorge Luna out in front who threw for 230 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 50 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Colt Lozano, who picked up 108 receiving yards and one score.

United's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Alveyen Alfaro, Moy Montemayor, and Jorge Robles, who each picked up one sack apiece. United got some further help from Rola San Miguel: he made 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception.

Meanwhile, Del Rio lost to Alexander at home by a 21-7 margin on Friday.

Del Rio's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for United, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's matchup: United has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 301 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Del Rio, though, as they've been averaging only 65.2 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?

United strolled past Del Rio in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 31-17. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
