Soccer Game Preview: Glacier Peak vs. Lake Stevens

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies will face off against the Lake Stevens Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Glacier Peak's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Glacier Peak needed a bit of extra time to put away Arlington. They beat the Eagles by a goal, winning 2-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Glacier Peak's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Arlington are ranked 214th).

Despite a strong season so far, Lake Stevens has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Kamiak.

Glacier Peak's win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Lake Stevens, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-2.
