Football Game Preview: Paoli vs. Bowlegs

Paoli have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will square off against Bowlegs at 7:00 PM on Friday. Paoli are coming into the contest hot, having won seven in a row.

Two weeks ago, Paoli put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Sasakwa to the tune of 48-0. That looming 48-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Paoli yet.

Meanwhile, Bowlegs found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 22-44 punch to the gut against Webbers Falls last Thursday. The state rankings had actually given Bowlegs a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Paoli's victory lifted them to 7-1 while Bowlegs's loss dropped them down to 2-6. In their victory, Paoli relied heavily on senior Connor Pitts, who rushed for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bowlegs will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
