Basketball Recap: Melbourne Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After losing to Eau Gallie the last time they met, Melbourne decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Melbourne Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 45-30 win over the Eau Gallie Commodores on Monday.

Melbourne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Matthews, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Matthews a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Addyson Turba, who went 6 for 13 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Melbourne's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10. As for Eau Gallie, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Melbourne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-16 victory against West Shore on the 14th. Eau Gallie has also already played their next match, a 38-35 defeat against Satellite on the 14th.
