The Manvel Mavericks will take on the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings in a tournament on Saturday. Manvel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Dickinson hit Manvel with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mavericks came up short against the Gators, falling 10-3.

Manvel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karsyn Carrier, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Carrier has hit this season.

Fort Bend Dulles came out on top against Morton Ranch on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Vikings walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Mavericks. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win made it two in a row for Fort Bend Dulles and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Manvel, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Manvel might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Fort Bend Dulles in their previous meeting back in February of 2016. Can the Mavericks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
