Covington was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Jeremiah Cunningham did his best to prevent it. Cunningham produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low.
