Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arroyo Valley Hawks. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Polytechnic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Chui, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Polytechnic's record now sits at 1-5. As for Arroyo Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Polytechnic will welcome Eagle Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Arroyo Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Indio at 4:00 p.m. on March 19th.
