Basketball Game Preview: Farrell Steelers vs. Cathedral Prep Ramblers

The Farrell Steelers will take on the Cathedral Prep Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Farrell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Cathedral Prep likes a good challenge.

Farrell can't be too worried about heading out to take on Cathedral Prep: they just beat Fort LeBoeuf at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Farrell managed a 67-61 victory over Fort LeBoeuf on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Royals by a score of 66-53. Given the Ramblers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Royals are ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cathedral Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Farrell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.
