Baseball Game Preview: Kenwood Knights vs. Northeast Eagles

Kenwood hasn't had much luck against Northeast recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will head out to face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Kenwood has given up an average of 14.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kenwood's offense. They lost 21-0 to Henry County on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Northeast suffered their closest loss since May 1, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Montgomery Central by a score of 7-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shamad Parker was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Matthew Robertson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Kenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Kenwood might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Northeast in their previous matchup back in April of 2021. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
