Arnold had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Fort Walton Beach Vikings get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Marlins sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Eli Blair was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Austin Hendrix was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Maddox Bean was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Arnold was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Arnold's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Walton Beach, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Arnold will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
