            Gainesville extended their losing streak  to four  on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-5. They fell  17-7 to the Leesburg Yellow Jackets. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing  35-34 to the Yellow Jackets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Leesburg, they now  have a winning record of 4-3. That's two games straight that they have won by  exactly ten  points.

His passing game has become a key predictor of Leesburg's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
 Looking ahead, Gainesville will face off against Williston at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leesburg, they will take on Lyman at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th. The Yellow Jackets will be up against the Greyhounds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.33  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
