Basketball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian lost against Gladwin back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Meridian Mustangs fell 42-29 to the Gladwin Flying G's. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Flying G's are ranked 161st).

Meridian dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Gladwin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Coming up, Meridian will head out on the road to square off against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gladwin, they will host Alma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
