Softball Recap: La Serna Lancers vs. Ramona Rams

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but La Serna had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They never let the Ramona Rams onto the board and left with a 5-0 win.

Not much got past Cann Puig, who gave up just four hits to keep Ramona off the board. Puig has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than seven innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrie Baruch, who went 4-for-4 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaylyn Renteria, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and an RBI.
