Softball Recap: Whiteville Takes a Loss

Whiteville lost against Lumberton back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Whiteville came up short against Lumberton, falling 8-1. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kensley Wyatt was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Whiteville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lumberton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

Whiteville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Heide Trask on the 21st. As for Lumberton, they have also already played their next match, a 15-0 victory against Seventy-First on the 21st.
