Baseball Recap: Catholic Central Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Three must be Catholic Central's lucky number: they beat De La Salle Collegiate with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Shamrocks beat the Pilots by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Catholic Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for De La Salle Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-7.

Catholic Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De La Salle Collegiate, they will face off against Warren Woods-Tower at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
