Baseball Recap: Jericho Comes Up Short

Jericho had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 17-7 to the Wantagh Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jayhawks of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Josh Mass made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Zheng, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

The victory keeps Wantagh at an undefeated 6-0.

Jericho does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wantagh, they have already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Valley Stream North on the 11th.
