Baseball Recap: Emerson Comes Up Short

Emerson entered their game against Frisco on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Emerson fell 4-1 to Frisco. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raccoons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 last Tuesday.

Emerson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalen McLin, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base. That stolen base was McLin's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Emerson and nudges their season record down to 15-4. As for Frisco, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Emerson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Van Alstyne at 11:00 a.m. on April 5. As for Frisco, they will square off against Walnut Grove at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
