Baseball Recap: Many Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Many proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Leesville Wampus Cats 6-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three games in a row.

Kaghan Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jonas Hendrickson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ryder Gunter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Many was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Many's record now sits at 17-14. As for Leesville, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-14-1.

Looking ahead, Many will venture away from home to face off against Buckeye at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leesville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaGrange at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
