Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Academy Tigers vs. St. David's Warriors

Trinity Academy is 1-9 against St. David since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trinity Academy Tigers will head out to square off against the St. David's Warriors at 5:30 p.m. St. David's took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Trinity Academy, who comes in off a win.

St. David's will be up against a hot Trinity Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Trinity Academy strolled past GRACE Christian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 47-32.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, St. David's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a blow against Grace Christian, falling 63-9. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Crusaders are ranked fourth).

Trinity Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for St. David's, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Trinity Academy came up short against St. David's in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 47-38. Can Trinity Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
