Basketball Recap: E.E. Smith Starts off Right with Win over Varsity Opponent

E.E. Smith took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Saturday. They skirted past Varsity Opponent 46-44.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead E.E. Smith to victory, but perhaps none more so than Azariah Brunson, who posted 16 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. Brunson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Madison Fox, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 12 points and six boards.

E.E. Smith smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 18 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
