Chapin entered their tilt with Canutillo on Friday with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. They took down the Canutillo Eagles 64-45. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chapin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Leverett, who posted 20 points. Leverett is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Jacob Garcia was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Defeat or not, Canutillo got some senior leadership from Donovan Mozer and Austin Bonilla. Mozer went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points, while Bonilla had 15 points and five assists. Mozer continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Chapin's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Canutillo, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 16-6 record.

Chapin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-43 win against Andress on the 14th. As for Canutillo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-46 victory against Jefferson on the 14th.
