Evansville Mater Dei is 6-1 against Perry Central since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats will challenge the Perry Central Commodores at 5:30 p.m.

Given the Commodores' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Chargers are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Perry Central and bumps their season record up to 15-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Evansville Mater Dei came up short against Perry Central in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-45. Can Evansville Mater Dei avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
