Baseball Recap: Enterprise Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mountain View on Friday, Enterprise came back down to earth. The Enterprise Wolves fell just short of the Virgin Valley Bulldogs by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolves have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Enterprise saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klint Bundy, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Enterprise's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Virgin Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enterprise will square off against Millard at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Millard's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Virgin Valley, they will take on Sunrise Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Virgin Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
