Basketball Recap: Open Door Christian Takes a Loss

Open Door Christian was the 53-46 winner over Trinity when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Open Door Christian Patriots took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Trojans.

Trinity's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Duncan, who almost dropped a double-double with nine boards and ten assists. The dominant performance gave Duncan a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Cooper Hughes, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 17 points.

Open Door Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Trinity, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Open Door Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 87-52 defeat against Cornerstone Christian on the 14th. As for Trinity, they have also already played their next match, a 74-63 loss against Cuyahoga Heights on the 14th.
