Baseball Recap: Connell Has No Trouble Against Columbia

While Connell didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Columbia Coyotes 11-1 on Saturday. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Connell and bumps their season record up to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Columbia, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Connell will face off against Kiona-Benton at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia, they will take on Highland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
