Softball Recap: Clearwater Central Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Indian Rocks Christian last Monday, Clearwater Central Catholic came back down to earth. The Marauders lost 12-1 to the Calvary Christian Warriors on Tuesday. If the Marauders were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clearwater Central Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelyn Foubister, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Clearwater Central Catholic dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Calvary Christian, the win keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearwater Central Catholic will square off against Hollins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Marauders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Calvary Christian, they will take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
