Basketball Recap: Iowa-Grant Comes Up Short

Iowa-Grant and Mineral Point squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Iowa-Grant had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 79-36 loss at the hands of the Mineral Point Pointers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Pointers are ranked 21st).

Iowa-Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Mineral Point, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-1.

Iowa-Grant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mineral Point, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 83-43 victory against Lancaster on the 8th.
