MAIS AA District 3 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Prairie View Academy and Tallulah Academy played the most hotly contested game in MAIS AA District 3 this week, with Prairie View Academy eventually emerging with a 20-14 victory.
River Oaks' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brendan MacGregor has thrown for 252 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Jordan Sutton has six catches for 72 yards. Alex Biedenharn leads the league in rushing with 654 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Spartans take on Central Hinds Academy. Prairie View Academy is currently in third, while the Cougars are in first.
Central Hinds Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,871 from 8,163. The improvement was the result of 21-0 victory over River Oaks last week.
