Volleyball Recap: Whitesboro Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Whitesboro challenged Gunter on Tuesday. The Bearcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bearcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Whitesboro might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Gunter: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Whitesboro's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Gunter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Coincidentally, Whitesboro and Gunter will both be playing Paris the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bearcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
