Volleyball Recap: Giulia Alison and Annabella D'adarria Secure Win for Kellam + How To Watch

Kellam won the last time they faced Hickory and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

One reason for the win was Kellam's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 25-9.

Leading Kellam to victory were Annabella D'adarria and Giulia Alison. D'adarria had nine aces and six digs, while Alison had seven digs and two assists. Those nine aces gave D'adarria a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Kellam was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Kellam's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Hickory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kellam will host Salem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oscar Smith at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
