It was a good run, but  Wachusett Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-match winning streak on Friday. They lost  3-0 to the Shrewsbury Colonials. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Mountaineers have suffered  since September 9th.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-7,  25-18.
 Ella Darrow paced Wachusett Regional's offense, picking up six kills. Darrow got some help from  Grace Coppolino and her seven assists.
 Among those leading the charge was   Georgia Roadman, who  had four  digs and three  aces. That's the most  digs  she has posted since back in September.
Wachusett Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Shrewsbury, their win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-0.
 Wachusett Regional and Shrewsbury should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Mountaineers (ranked 33rd) will meet Grafton (ranked 168th)  at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile,  Shrewsbury will  face off against  Leominster  at 6:15  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  advantage  (2 vs. 198).
