Baseball Recap: Williams Field Comes Up Short

Williams Field and Higley squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Williams Field had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. The Black Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Williams Field saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Kowalczyk, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Williams Field has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for Higley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Williams Field nor Higley have any future games scheduled.
