Softball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

Fairview was the 5-2 winner over Otsego when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Apaches lost 9-2 to the Knights on Saturday.

Samantha Coolman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Bethany Shininger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Fairview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Otsego, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Fairview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Bryan on the 31st. As for Otsego, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Notre Dame Academy on the 31st.
