Soccer Recap: University School Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tennessee last Tuesday, University School came back down to earth. The Buccaneers lost 7-1 to the Pigeon Forge Tigers on Thursday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as University School were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Mason Winfield, who's now up to two this season.

The loss snapped University School's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3-1 record. As for Pigeon Forge, their record is now 8-2-1.

University School and Pigeon Forge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Buccaneers will square off against Cumberland Gap at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (109 vs. 260). Meanwhile, Pigeon Forge (ranked 42nd) will meet Chuckey-Doak (ranked 205th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
