Softball Game Preview: Lancaster Golden Gales vs. Olentangy Braves

The Lancaster Golden Gales will face off against the Olentangy Braves at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Lancaster is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.

Olentangy's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Lancaster hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Golden Gales' pitchers stepped up to hand Central Crossing a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. The Golden Gales might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Olentangy had just enough and edged out New Albany 12-10 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Lancaster's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Olentangy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
