Salida is a perfect 10-0 against Florence since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Salida Spartans will host the Florence Huskies at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Salida's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Florence has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Saturday, Salida was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 77-76 to St. Mary's. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (62), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-48, which was the final score in Florence's tilt against The Vanguard School on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Coursers are ranked 70th).

Salida's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
