Jemison and Shelby County are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but likely not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jemison is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Jemison lost 7-1 to Prattville Christian Academy on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shelby County). They put the hurt on North Sand Mountain with a sharp 15-5 victory on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Shelby County's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs over those games. As for Jemison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Jemison might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Shelby County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Jemison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
