Softball Recap: Prout Gets the Win

While Prout's victory against Moses Brown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Quakers 7-5. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Quakers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Mia Boyajian, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Slitt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Prout was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Prout's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Moses Brown, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Prout will take on Cranston West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moses Brown, they will host St. Mary Academy-Bay View at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bengals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Quakers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
