Baseball Game Preview: Alta-Aurelia Warriors vs. Emmetsburg E'Hawks

Alta-Aurelia is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Emmetsburg is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will welcome the E'Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Alta-Aurelia was able to grind out a solid win over West Bend-Mallard, taking the game 6-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Emmetsburg never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire as they made off with an 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the E'Hawks, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Emmetsburg is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Alta-Aurelia, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Alta-Aurelia took their victory against Emmetsburg when the teams last played back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the E'Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
