Softball Recap: Catholic Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Catholic can now relate to. They came up short against the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they will challenge Peninsula Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
