Soccer Recap: Elmira Victorious

While Elmira's win against Groton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Express' defense stepped up to hand the Red Hawks a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Elmira wouldn't have won without Hailey Hamilton, who scored the game-winner.

Elmira's victory bumped their record up to 3-6-1. As for Groton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Elmira will head out on the road to challenge Vestal at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Groton, they will take on Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
